How To Drink More Water
If you have problems drinking enough water throughout the day try the slow and steady approach. If you’re supposed to drink 8 cups of water a day and you are not drinking that much, then start slow. Add one additional cup of water each day and increase it by another cup each week.
Let’s say you are only drinking 2 cups of water a day. Start off by adding one additional cup of water every day for one week. The first week you will drink 3 cups of water a day. The second week you will add another cup of water a day. So, you will be drinking 4 cups of water a day for the second week.
Each week, you will add another cup until you are drinking your required amount of water a day. The amount of water you should be drinking each day is different for everyone. In general, if you are active and you sweat then you should be drinking more water. The best way to tell if you are drinking enough water is to look at the color of your urine. It should be clear with a slight tint of yellow. If it is dark yellow, then you definitely need to drink more water.
I have seen a lot of people have success with carrying around a jug of water with them. These jugs are marked by ounces and each day you fill up the jug with however many ounces of water you need to drink.
